Solar Astronomy Project by KAS Pakistan

Solar Astronomy is an important part of Astronomy whether it is hobby or profession. Solar Astronomy means observing our star “Sun” also known as Solar and Zodiac. The observation includes observing the Sun spots with a  white light filter and observing the prominences with an Hydrogen-Alpha telescope.

Recently Karachi Astronomers Society of Pakistan has launched a project named KAS-SAP particularly for Solar observation and activities. Me and Sajjad Ahmed of KAS together completed this project and launched the website in mid May 2016.
