A good car engine oil can increase efficiency
I have been interested in the cars engine since I first read about it back in 2004 in 11th grade in Physics chapter. It was a small topic in a chapter but I tried my best to learn from the least information. I didn’t have access to internet those days so I went to my teacher to learn more about engine and he said this topic will not will be asked in examination. 🙂 Well I couldn’t expect more than this from our local teachers. Too bad and too sad. I used to wonder and think on the working of engine and time passed.
In early 2013 my car engine started to create some problems especially white smoke used to come from the exhaust or silencer. I went to a mechanic and he told me the pistons were to be replaced and so the rings and stuff. At time I got to know a lot about car engines and he showed me all the parts of engine and their working. I had to repair the engine and finally got it repaired in one month’s time. The mechanic took only 5 days to repair the engine with new pistons, rings, new setting, time belt, gaskit, and valves. Everything perfect. I had to drive a 1500 kms  on petrol before I could start using it on CNG. 🙂
Changed engine oil from Castrol to Caltex Havoline Formula
Coming to the point, my car used to give me 90-105kms on a full cylinder of CNG. Replaced old oil after 1500kms and then after 4000kms. Still same. I was using Castrol. This time in January 2014, my mechanic suggested to use Caltex Havoline formula which was 500PKR expensive than Castrol. He said you can run 5000kms on it. I was excited about it and so good for me. The most amazing thing was that a full cylinder of CNG started to give me 120Km-140Km and this is really amazing. So engine oil matters a lot. And so don’t forget to change oil filter.
